Before Submitting an Application

Complete the following:

  1. Read the grant eligibility criteria and check that you qualify

  2. Read the list of submission information and verify that you have the required supporting documents.

  3. Determine your grant application type: Research or Models of Care

  • Research grants are for standard scientific studies – structured investigations designed to answer specific research questions. These studies can be interventional or observational, and can include types such as clinical trials, Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) and others. These studies typically include the outcome goal of publishing research results in a peer-reviewed journal.

  • Models of Care grants are for projects in which the main focus is to test, validate, and/or develop safe and effective treatment processes and models that can be used for psychedelic-assisted treatment of opioid use disorder (OUD). These studies have the additional benefit of providing access to novel treatments that participants may not be otherwise able to access. These projects also collect and analyze data; however their outcomes goals may or may not includes peer-reviewed publication.
